I was honoured to be a panelist at the University Women’s Club of Vancouver at Hycroft on April 30th in their Forum of Provincial Election Women’s Candidates. The other panelists were Suzanne Anton, Mable Elmore and Francoise Raunet. We all answered great questions from the crowd on issues involving child poverty, education and women’s issues. The panelists all did a wonderful job and we challenged each other with regards to the differences between our political parties.
The event was held at the most beautiful Hycroft building. The last time I was there it was to attend the wedding of a good friend.
I was thrilled that my thoughts and heartfelt feelings regarding politics in our province and the political process inspired some of the women to approach me after the panel discussion saying how my words had helped them decide how to approach the election.
I was proud to be helpful to these amazing ladies and thanks the Board of Directors and the University Women’s Club. It was an honour and I hope to be invited back in the future!
