On May 3rd, I attended the Early Childhood Educators Conference at the Radisson Hotel in Richmond. I was a panelist with NDP and Liberal MLA’s. We answered questions form the passionate group of child care providers from around the province.
I attended with the purpose of introducing the BC Conservatives position of ” SMART SPENDING ” to allow for more money to be committed to Early Childhood Education.
My mandate was to attend the conference and listen and learn, and then report back to the BC Conservatives so we can work on a practical plan for reducing the high cost of childcare and encouraging the education of our youngest members of society so they can be ready for school at age five.
My thanks to ECERBC for their kind invitation and all the people who asked smart and pointed questions. I learned a lot and plan to work towards your goals when I am elected as the MLA for Richmond Steveston.
